What is coaching?

Coaches work with you one on one to help you realize your dreams and be more fulfilled in your life. Coaches don’t have the answers because the only answers that are meaningful are the ones that are authentically yours. Coaches do have lots of questions and tools to help you discover more about yourself, your goals and your path. A coach will help you become clear on what you really want in your life and how to get it. Through coaching you can expect to deepen your self knowledge, get into action and learn from that action, develop an authentic vision for your fulfilled life, and be held accountable for goals that help you achieve your vision.

Coaches are sounding boards, motivators, and challengers, and will hold you accountable to your personal commitments. By “holding up a mirror” to you, coaches help you see yourself more clearly and understand how others see you. Coaches listen to you intently and ask powerful questions that help you generate new perspectives, explore possibilities and initiate authentic action.

What is the process?

Each individual and coaching relationship is unique so the first step is to schedule a free session to determine your individual goals from coaching and design a program that fits you. It is recommended that you commit to coaching for a minimum of three months. Coaching typically begins with a longer session where we uncover where you are now and where you want to go and start to define the plan to get you there. Coaching sessions usually take place 2-3 times a month. Assessment tools such as a 360, the Strong Interest Inventory, the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) or Strengths Assessments may be part of the coaching as mutually agreed upon.
